The Disappearance of Evelyn Blake
64 year old Evelyn Blake was last seen in Glen Dean, Kentucky on July 21, 2024. She disappeared after going out for a walk in the 4000 block of Old Railroad Road.
Disappearance
Around 6:00 pm on July 21, 2024, Evelyn Blake went out for a walk in Glen Dean, Kentucky. She never returned home, and hasn’t been heard from since.
She was last seen in the 4000 block of Old Railroad Road, about two miles south of McQuady.
Evenly has dementia and is developmentally disabled, which may prevent her from being able to return safely, according to her family.
Investigation
A two day search for Evelyn was conducted by law enforcement with the help of K9 units, but found no clues as to her whereabouts.
There was a report that Evelyn spoke to someone on the phone soon after her disappearance, however law enforcement is still looking to make physical contact with her to verify her safety.
On July 27, 2024, the Breckinridge County Sheriff’s Department released the following statement:
Until a law enforcement officer makes physical contact with Ms. Blake, she will still be considered missing. The sheriff’s office is currently utilizing phone records from the phone provider, as a tool in attempt to locate Ms. Blake … We will continue to utilize whatever means necessary for a safe return of Ms. Blake. Our ultimate goal is to locate Ms. Blake. We appreciate all the help the public is wanting to provide, while still continuing to maintain respect for home and landowners. Permission to go onto their property must still be given to those wanting to search properties for Ms. Blake.”
Appearance
White female with black hair and blue eyes. Evelyn stands 5’0-5’3 tall and weighs 145 pounds. Her left eye is distinct.

Evelyn was last seen wearing a white shirt and tan shorts.
