The Disappearance of Jonathan Groce
30 year old Jonathan Groce was last seen in Cibolo, Texas on October 8, 2010. He left for a job in his black 1986 Chevy Caprice station wagon, which was later found abandoned in New Braunfels.
Disappearance
Around noon on October 8, 2010, Jonathan Groce left Cibolo, Texas for a job in Converse, about 8 miles away. He left in his black 1986 Chevy Caprice station wagon.
Jonathan never arrived to his job, and hasn’t been heard from since.
Investigation
On October 9, 2010, his vehicle was found abandoned at 1400 Loop 337 New Braunfels, Texas near the Guadalupe River on Highway 46. The doors were locked with the keys inside.
A note was found inside the vehicle which read “I’m sorry all the lies is what killed me. Tell the truth.” An empty handgun case was also found inside the car.
A search of the area by officers and K9 units turned up no additional clues as to his whereabouts.
There has been no financial activity on his accounts since he went missing.
His family says it’s uncharacteristic of him to go missing without contacting anyone. He leaves behind a young daughter.
Appearance
White male with brown hair and brown eyes. Jonathan stands 5’10 tall and weighs 150-165 pounds. He has a 3 inch scar on the outside of his left ankle and a scar on his left wrist.
Clothing & Accessories:
Jonathan was last seen wearing a blue button up collared short sleeve shirt, olive drab cargo shorts, tan low cut shoes, and a James Avery silver cross.
