The Disappearance of Hydi Cain

16 year old Hydi Cain was last seen in Fayatteville, Georgia on January 7, 2024. She disappeared after leaving home around midnight while wearing nothing but her pajamas.

Background

At the time of her disappearance, Hydi Cain was living in her family’s home in Fayetteville, Georgia.

She attends Georgia Connections Academy where she is a straight A student.

Disappearance

16 year old Hydi Cain was last seen at her Fayetteville, Georgia home on January 7, 2024.

According to Hydi’s mother, they had been talking about Hydi’s recent life decisions that evening, but it never turned into an argument.

Nothing seemed out of the ordinary when Hydi told her mother she was going to bed shortly before midnight.

About 20 minutes later, Hydi’s mother heard her yelling at someone while on her Macbook before fleeing home with her mother’s car keys.

Realizing she had the car keys, her mother ran out and pulled the keys out of the car before Hydi was able to drive away. Her mother was able to stop the car, but Hydi jumped out and ran away, wearing only pajamas and no shoes.

Hydi hasn’t been seen or heard from since.

She was reported missing to the Fayetteville Police Department, who have classified it as a runaway case.

Investigation

Hydi’s mother is concerned about the mental state of her daughter, and it is believed she may have been experiencing some type of psychotic episode when she fled home.

Her mother has since set up a GoFundMe account to support search efforts to bring her daughter home.

On January 16, 2024, the City of Fayetteville Department of Public Safety posted that Hydi may have since dyed her hair black.

Whereabouts

The location of Hydi Cain remains unknown. Her case is classified as a runaway and remains unsolved.

Appearance

Hydi has blonde hair, stands 5’1 tall, and weighs 130 pounds. It is believed she has since dyed her hair black.

Clothing & Accessories:
She was last seen wearing pajama pants, a sweatshirt, and no shoes.
